CONTAINER DEMO PACK Rev. 2.0

Content
-------

By installing this pack together with the wagon packs listed below, you get a test route with two Container Stations, together with an activity that preloads the Container Stations with some containers and that provides a train with both American and Europan container wagons, mostly already preloaded with containers.
You can move the train and stop it at the two Container Stations, and perform container load/unload operations.

What has changed from Rev. 1.0
------------------------------
Within folder Trains/Trainset/Common.ContainerData the container descriptor files with extension .load-or have been added. This is the new official estension, as required by the OR official reviewer.
The .loa files are kept at the moment, but will be deleted in next revisions.
Witnin folder Routes/ContainerDemo/Activities/OpenRails a file describing thr initial container population of the container stations with extension .load-stations-loads-orhas been added. This is the new official estension, as required by the OR official reviewer.
The .lsp file is kept at the moment, but will be deleted in next revisions.
The new extensions are supported by ORNYMG 126.2 and subesequent ones, and by official Unstable releases starting from 23/6/2022.

Installation
------------
The legacy MSTS GP38 is required as player locomotive, but of course can be replaced with any other diesel locomotive, if you prefer.

Following wagon packs must be downloaded and installed in your Train Simulator installation BEFORE you copy the contents of this demo pack within the Train Simulator folder:
http://www.trainsimhobby.net/infusions/pro_download_panel/download.php?did=1646 by JohnnyS
http://activitysimulatorworld.eu/chargements_temporaires/ASW_Chargements_WagonsMarchandises.html (download Metrans-AAE pack) by Nicolas-S
in www.trainsim.com select from the File Library area drop down menu "Search Files" and enter atwellsoceanset30.zip as file name (by Andrey Tucker-Wells)

AFTER the installation of these three packs you must copy the TRAINS and the ROUTES folder from the present pack into your Train Simulator folder.

Running the demo
----------------

In the main OR menu select route ContainerDemo, select activity ContainerDemo and run OR.

The loading and unloading operations are started by the player, by pressing the key ``<T>``
for loading, and the key ``<Shift-T>`` . The operation is performed on the first wagon
(starting from the locomotive) which is within the container crane displacement range and which
fulfills the required conditions (e.g. loading space available for loading, container present
for unloading). So, if a train has only empty wagons and the locomotive is within the container
crane displacement range, the first wagon is loaded first, then the second and so on up to the
last wagon within the crane displacement range. At that point, if there are further
wagons to be loaded, the train must be moved forward so that a new group of wagons is within
the crane displacement range, and Load operations can be resumed.

Every keypress loads or unloads a single wagon.

In some cases it can occur that during a load operation the crane stops motion and the following
message appears on the display: ``"Wagon out of range: move wagon towards crane by {0} metres"``;
this occurs when the wagon is at the boundary of the crane displacement range; the player must
move the wagon towards the inside of the crane displacement range and stop the train. The crane
will then continue its loading mission up to the end.

It is advised not to perform a Save (key ``<F2>``) when a loading or unloading operation is ongoing.
